Aiming at showing the great achievements of the Party in the past century and decoding and inheriting the red genes of China Re, China Re Group’s theme exhibition “Striving for a Hundred Years, Embarking on a New Journey” was officially launched on 25 June. Members of the Party committee of the Group companies and persons-in-charge of relevant functional departments made a visit to the exhibition, looking back together on the Party’s century-old history and magnificence, and feeling as in the real scene the mission and high-spirited demeanor of China Re.
Entering the prologue section, the theme of “Striving for a Hundred Years, Embarking on a New Journey” came into view. The Jiaxing red boat and the Yan’an pagoda were representative of the revolutionary course of the Communist Party of China from its founding to covering the whole of China. The Belt and Road initiative, the Fuxing high speed rail, and the Long March rocket demonstrated the brilliant achievements of our country under the leadership of the Party.Next, the theme exhibition was split into seven chapters to fully demonstrate the glorious history and latest development achievements of China Re Group actively playing the role of the national reinsurance team under the leadership of the Party. Among which, the historical chapter led visitors through the time tunnel, conducting an affectionate review of China Re’s survival through difficult times together with the country; the strategic development chapter led visitors into the new era, succinctly and clearly showing the Group’s bright spots across the “13th Five-Year Plan” and its strategic direction towards the “14th Five-Year Plan”, as well as its proactive service to the fruitful results of the national strategy and its adherence to the social responsibility of a central enterprise.
The following five chapters of comprehensive strength, international territory, strict governance of the Party, cultural development, and development vision presented a panoramic view of the Group’s stable and outstanding professional advantages, continuous deepening of the globalization layout, the integration of Party building and business, and the concept of developing a people-oriented corporate culture and guarding the people for a better life.
In the exhibition hall, there were close to ten showcases and niches at which precious objects donated by employees were displayed. Among which, there were staff cards, contact books, and souvenirs of the Company at the time of its founding, recording and reproducing the youth years of the older generation of reinsurance personnel and the development footprint of China Re’s entrepreneurial innovation. There were also professional reinsurance books, important business contracts, and various trophy and honors, silently conveying China Re’s professional strengths and market presence. In particular, there were two sets of white protective suits with signatures, which came from the employees of China Continent and medical staff in Hubei, recording the unforgettable experience of the Group’s front-line employees who worked together to fight the epidemic.
At the end of the exhibition hall, the MV “Ode to the Motherland”, a theme song celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Party, echoed with China Re’s new-version publicity video at the prologue section, igniting the strong emotional resonance and good wishes of the visitors to the Party and the country. The atmosphere was warm and the applause continued.
This curatorial exhibition lasts for three months at which three bright spots are shown: first is to pinpoint the red theme in showing the demeanor of the century-old Party in an affectionate way; second is to incorporate the Company’s latest business achievements and work highlights in presenting China Re’s momentum for development in an all-rounded way; third is to respond to the call for green and low-carbon concepts in making use of environmentally friendly exhibition materials and multimedia energy-saving technologies in an extensive manner.
The century-long journey was magnificent in guarding the reinsurance of the national economy and people’s livelihood. Yuan Linjiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Re Group, pointed out that as an important window for the Group’s external publicity and employee training, the theme exhibition of China Re should gather strength internally and establish an image externally, vividly telling the story of China Re’s struggles and developments under the leadership of the Party, thus fully demonstrating China Re Group’s brand image of guarding the new era and striving for a new journey.
