On 20 January, China Re Group entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration in Beijing. He Chunlei, Vice President of China Re Group, and Sun Jian, Director of the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties. Zuo Huiqiang (Deputy General Manager of China Re P&C), Qin Hongbo (General Manager of the Strategy Development Department) and Feng Jian (General Manager of the Information Technology Department) of the Group Company, Shi Shuwei (General Manager of Huafeng Group), Li Haisheng (Deputy Director of the Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration), Pei Shunqiang (Director of the Early Warning Engineering and Standardization Office of the National Early Warning Information Issuing Center) and Li Chang (General Manager of a weather technology company) attended the signing ceremony.
The Public Meteorological Service Center of the China Meteorological Administration, as an institution directly under the China Meteorological Administration, has comprehensive resources of weather information, weather monitoring network spreading across the towns and villages of the country, experienced meteorological experts, and powerful meteorological technology accumulated for years, striving to serve the insurance industry with meteorological technology, risk management and big data analysis and enhance the standard of weather risk management, thereby playing a critical leading role in the national modern meteorological business system.
As the main pipeline of the reinsurance industry in China, China Re Group earnestly fulfills the national reinsurance functions with reinsurance as the core. We strive to carry out catastrophe model R&D and catastrophe products design, so as to push forward the construction of the national catastrophe insurance system with full effort and provide complementary support to the disaster alleviation and economic and social development of the State.
